After the original postponement, Stamford faced a 250-mile round trip on a cold Tuesday night.
With injury to Jack Duffy against Harborough Town, manager Graham Drury moved to bring in former red Cosmos Matwasa on a month’s loan from National League North side Alfreton Town.
He started along with Tendai Chitiza in place of the injured Duffy and Connor Bartle who was on the bench.
The home side started brightly and forced Tom Jackson into action, but the Stamford keeper was able to easily save the effort.
Then Lee Shaw cut in from the left and his shot was deflected onto the post and away from danger. Then Shaw had another effort when he attempted an overhead kick, but it lacked power, and the shot was easily saved.
The was followed by an effort by Tobias Liversidge but again Samuel Blair was able to save in the Lowestoft goal.
Stamford took the lead on thirty-two minutes when a free kick was met by Rob Morgan and his header fell to Chitiza and he volleyed the ball past Blair into the net.
The Daniels doubled their lead in injury time when Matwasa got down the left and he pulled the ball back, but no one was able to connect. The ball was only partially cleared to Chitiza who passed to Liversidge, and he guided the ball into the net.
Into the second half and Stamford continued to press and Shaw fired a shot from distance but was easily saved. Then Liversidge struck a shot which the Lowestoft keeper was able to palm away at the expense of a corner.
Stamford grabbed a third on fifty-eight minutes when George Hobbins scored his first goal for the club. Charlie Marzano crossed the ball to Hobbins, and he hit a dipping shot that went across the keeper and into the net.
The Daniels nearly scored a fourth when Matwasa found Joe Burgess but he placed his header wide of the goal.
As the game was nearing an end, the home side started to exert some pressure looking for a consolation. First Charlie Norman found Ben Atkinson but his header lacked power before Harvey Sayer had a shot which Jackson did well to get down and push away for a corner.
