Stamford welcomed back Jack Duffy, and he led the team in the absence of Harry Vince. The other change from the Harborough game was Mike Armstrong starting in place of Kai Tonge.
The Daniels started strongly and had the ball in the net after four minutes after a cross from the left from Connor Bartle and he found Duffy, but he was adjudged to have been offside.
Worcester then had a chance when Paul Downing met a cross from the right, but his header bounced off the top of the crossbar.
Then a corner from the left found Charlie Wise but his shot was straight at Tom Jackson.
They then struck the post on twenty-eight minutes when Liam Lockett fired a shot from a narrow angle and his shot cannoned off the far posit before Jordon Cooke cleared the ball off the line.
Then Jack Keeble came close when he met a corner from the left, but his header went just over the bar.
Into the second half and Stamford scored the only goal of the game on forty-seven minutes. Ryan Wilson played a long ball down the left to Jack Duffy and the Daniels frontman held off the Worcester defender and once he was in the box, blasted the ball past the keeper.
The home side always looked dangerous, and Dan Sweeney found space and he fired a shot towards goal, but Tom Jackson was able to save.
Then Leon Lobjoit had a chance to open his account for the Daniels when a cross into the box was misjudged by the Worcester keeper, but the ball rebounded of Lobjoit and away from danger.
Then a cross from the left for Worcester was almost met by Matthew Richards but the Daniels back line was able to clear the danger.
With time running out, Luke Rowe picked up the ball on the edge of the area but his shot flashed well wide of the Daniels goal.
The result still leaves the Daniels bottom but closes the gap to safety to nine points.
