Three minutes into the game and the Daniels had the first chance, Henry Eze received the ball following a corner, he crossed to Rob Morgan who flicked the ball on to Jordan Smith whose shot was well saved. Corby had their first chance ten minutes later as Steven Leslie swung in a free-kick to Paul Malone who volleyed over.
Two minutes later and Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson intercepted a poor goal-kick but his attempt from range went well wide. Two minutes later, in a defenders nightmare of a game, Jake Duffy seized onto a loose ball, before rounding the Corby keeper, he crossed to Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson who tapped into the empty net, only to be denied by the linesman flag.
23 minutes into the game Jake Duffy found Brad Wells with a superb ball but he could only shoot wide. Eight minutes later and Jake Duffy was again providing, but this time the goal came, Jake swung in a corner from the left, finding an unmarked Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson who headed in. On the 38th minute Rob Morgan won the ball back in the midfield before beating his man, he played it to Jake Duffy who crossed to Brad Wells whose header was straight at the keeper. Just before the break a Connor Kennedy free-kick was blocked for a corner by Mike Armstrong.
Three minutes after the break Rob Morgan was played in on goal following a quick free-kick by Jake Duffy, he couldn’t get his shot away, but the ball fell to Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson whose shot was well saved. Five minutes later he was in on goal again but he could only shoot wide. On the 70th minute Corby had a penalty, a long ball forward came to Henry Eze who attempted to volley clear, the ball ended up looping into the air, Del Gordon then dragged a Corby attacker down. From the resulting penalty Danny Haystead saved superbly down to his right from Jordan Crawford. Three minutes later Ben George was replaced by Jon Challinor. A minute later Brad Wells ran at the Corby defence before shooting just wide.
With ten minutes to go Ollie Brown-Hill replaced Brad Wells. Five minutes later Danny Haystead saved well from Connor Kennedy. Two minutes later and Corby had their goal, a corner was swung in from the right and Ryan Bell beat Danny Haystead to the ball and headed into the empty net. Corby had the better of the game after this goal and Stamford were forced to defend well to make sure a point was earned.
Firstly Jordan Crawford was played in on goal but his shot was blocked by Mike Armstrong. Then from the resulting corner Haystead was called into action twice as he saved superbly from Paul Malone, firstly from a header then from a follow-up volley. From the resulting corner he again was called into action as another header came in, this time he saved superbly down to his right. In the third minute of stoppage time Jordan Crawford was played in on goal but he could only shoot over.
