A Jon Challinor strike late in the game was enough to claim a point at Belper Town. It was enough for Stamford to stay unbeaten in the league.

With Rob Morgan & Chris Salt suspended this game saw Cleveland Taylor return from injury and Liam Adams and Taron Hare restored to the starting eleven after coming on at the defeat at Peterborough Sports.

It was Adams who had the first chance of the game on nine minutes when his shot was saved by Max Beardmore in the home game. The game was played at a fast pace and Stamford continued to press with Joe Burgess shooting wide.

Midway through the half the home side had their first effort on goal but Dan Haystead was able to block the shot. At the other end Eliot Putman had a shot from about 20 yards out but his effort was wide of the far post.

Stamford were then awarded a penalty on twenty-seven minutes when Taron Hare was fouled in the box. Putman stepped up to take the spot kick, but his shot seemed to be mis-hit, and Beardmore parried the kick. It fell to Reece Morris but again the home keeper parried the shot away for a corner.

This seemed to spring the home side into life and Haystead did well to save. This was followed by them opening the scoring on 32 minutes when a shot was initially parried by Haystead, but the ball fell to Kai Hancock to drill home. Belper continued to press and nearly had a second but Haystead saved the effort.

Just before half time, Cleveland Taylor crossed from the left and Reece Morris has his shot blocked from close range.

At half time, Graham Drury made a double change with Morris & Taylor replaced by Jon Challinor & Stan Mugisha.

The opening periods started brightly for Stamford but without creating any clear-cut opportunities. The first notable effort came just before the hour mark when Joe Burgess tried an effort from long range, but the keeper was equal to it. A few minutes later Stamford thought they had an equaliser, but the effort was ruled out for off-side.

With time running out, the Daniels finally drew level, Challinor advanced towards goal and struck and shot through a crowd of players into the bottom corner leaving the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

There was just one other piece of action of note when Derry Robson was sent off for the home side after he picked up a second yellow card of the game.
