The Daniels were again forced to shuffle the pack due to injuries with Ed Cook, who signed on dual registration from Kettering Town, starting in place of James Blunden. Also coming into the starting XI was Daniel Wallis, Stacey Freeman & Cameron Johnson.
Stamford had the first chance of the game on eleven minutes when a shot was spilled by Loughborough keeper Rueben Rabstein but no Daniels player was on hand to score.
A few minutes later Rodrigo Goncalves had a shot blocked by former Daniels defender Michael Jacklin. The game was struggling to come to life with chances at premium, the next opportunity came just before half time when a corner was delivered into the box and Johnson met the ball, but his shot was wide of the goal.
The second half started brightly, and Stamford soon took the lead. Johnson broke free of the Loughborough back line and as Rabstein came out to close the angle he rounded the keeper to slot home and beat the covering defender.
Loughborough got themselves level six minutes later when a cross from the left and Rob Norris headed in at the back post. They then had the chance to take the lead when Ryan Nesbitt had a shot that was saved by Wallis in the Daniels goal.
This seemed to shake the Daniels into life and Joe Butterworth had a fine shot beaten away by the visiting goalkeeper before Stamford retook the lead on 68 minutes.
Cosmos Matwasa picked up the ball on the right and cut inside beating several defenders and once in front of the goal turned another defender and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
Nine minutes from time, Stamford secured the points when Matwasa got to the bye line and crossed the ball and Jack Duffy was on hand at the back post to score.
As the game entered injury time, there was a flurry of chances to increase the scoring.
First, Tristan Matthews had a shot which was just over the bar for the visitors. Then a free kick was delivered into the box and substitute Tom Siddons met the cross which was well saved by Rabstein.
The final action of the game saw Matwasa again cut in from the right who found Siddons. He is turn found Freeman who had his shot blocked by the Loughborough keeper.
