Stamford Strike Impressive Win

The Ladies created a number of opportunities in the first 15 minutes but failed to convert and as is often the way were punished when the Brigg striker latched on to a through ball and made it 1-0.

That was going to be the last of the home team’s chances as Stamford put on a masterclass performance to dominate the rest of the game. Two goals from Molly Cunningham and one from Keira Swanson made it 3-1 to Stamford at half time.

The Stamford ladies continued in the second half where they left off in the first with a further six goals to make the final score 9-1. A further goal from Cunningham and another 3 from Swanson contributed to the goal haul. Amber Smith also got on the scoresheet, but the goal of the day came from Captain, Lauren Bartle who dribbled past two players and blasted the ball from 20yards into the net. Another excellent performance from the newly formed team.
