St. Andrews progressed in the FA Vase with a hard fought win over Ollerton FC. The Andrews struggled to make progress in the first half and went a goal down after giving away a silly free kick on the edge of the box. A great save from the home keeper denied Dan Hempfrey an equaliser with the last kick of the half.
The lads received the hairdryer treatment at halftime and came out on the front foot in the 2nd half. A great run and cross from Ryan Hodkinson was volleyed in by Shay Brennan. Another ball in from Hodkinson was collected by Callum Earls who blasted in the Drews second goal.
The Andrews could have added more as the home team tired but a win following the poor first half performance was a welcome relief.
