Date Change for AGM 2021

Unfortunately two members of the Club’s Executive Committee have been contacted by NHS Test and Trace as they have been identified as being in close proximity of someone who has tested positive with COVID-19 for a prolonged period of time. To date those contacted have tested negative, but they are now self-isolating for 10 days in line with the current NHS Test and Trace guidance. This means the 2021 Annual General Meeting of St Austell Rugby Football Club due to take place on Thursday 29th July 2021 has been postponed.

The new date is Tuesday 17th August at 19:45 at Tregorrick Park.

The bar will be open from 19:00 enabling anyone who wishes to renew their membership for the 2021-22 season to do so before the AGM starts.

Please except our apologies for the date change but unfortunately the circumstances make it unavoidable.

These are exceptional times, but it has now been confirmed that the Government’s planned easing of Lockdown will commence on 19th July 2021. This means that many of the additional COVID precautions we have had to take over the last 18 months will have been lifted by the time of the AGM. Please rest assured that AGM 2021 will remain a “COVID-safe” and welcoming environment for all our members.

Attendance is limited to VP, Cardinal and Player Members who are fully paid-up for either the 2020-21 or 2021-22 season and Life Members.

The Agenda is attached along with the minutes from AGM 2020 held in December 2020. There is only one proposal regarding the Guidance for Life Membership to be voted on by members at the AGM.

The majority of the exisiting Executive Committee standing again for 2020-21, however current Chair Joel Double will be standing down at the AGM. Current Secretary Paul Hayes has been nominated for Chair for the 2021-22 season and members will be asked to ensdorse this appointment with a vote on the AGM.

Members’ questions

Any questions for the AGM need to be submitted by members in advance of the close date of Monday 26th July 2020.

There will be an opportunity to ask some questions during “AOB” (Please note it may not be possible to answer highly detailed questions or those of a confidential nature on the night of the AGM).
