St Austell U16 beat Liskeard

On a lovely Cornish morning, the mood was good despite recent hiccups and all were looking forward to a good game.
with several players missing these young men didn't dissapoint, a fast start resulted in two quick tries for Brad Curtis on the wing, one being converted by Ashley Gilder for a twelve point lead. There followed a spell of forwards trying to exert their authority on the game and due to some hard work, especially by props Max Keeling and Ethan Salt this was acheived, which allowed for some quick thinking from Kain Dockery to send Logan Dudley over in the corner, the try was well converted by Ashley Gilder, who followed up with a lovely break and try for himself to finish the half.

The second half started in similar fashion to the first with Brad Curtis completing his hatrick with a score under the posts to give Ashley Gilder an easy conversion, more pressure resulted in a break for Logan Dudley who made it to the line for his second try of the match, this was soon followed by another good break from Fullback Max Bullen to extend the lead with a converted try. There followed a quiet spell while adjustments were made due to injuries, before Max Keeling touched down for a well deserved try and then to finish things off flanker Cameron Taylor playing at center today showed his usual determination to complete the scoring.

Overall a good performance by all with the forwards dominating and the backs looking alot more organised and confident.
