After a brief hiatus, the annual exhibition of post-turkey Rugby returns to Tregorrick Park this Boxing Day!

Led by the follicly challenged Dave Swiggs, St Austell Sinners welcome Lankelly and hope that they enjoy this away fixture as much as we enjoyed the first game at Lankelly last year, at least what we can remember!

On a serious note these traditions have an importance to Rugby that we mustn’t lose sight of.

Rugby never was just about elite teams and 'total performance'. It seems to increasingly be forgotten that Rugby is a game that brings people of all abilities together in friendship whilst building comerarderie. We must never lose the social element of this glorious sport or we will come to regret it. We should support and indeed promote second teams into leagues where they can be competitive, flourish and offer a place for more players to belong.

Please come along and support us this Boxing Day. The bar is open at 10.30am with kick off at 11am. I would like to thank Peter Biernis for volunteering to ref, and all the players that are dragging themselves away from the cold meats for the afternoon.

Don't forget the vital County cup quarter-final tie against Penryn on Saturday 30th December. Its currently our cup and we don't want to hand it back just yet so lets get a big holiday crowd up at Tregorrick making noise and having fun!!
