Team Steam featuring the SCFC co-manager, Tony Gibbard, former SCFC players Paul Gibbs and Nick Bennion, the three King brothers and Adam Cowley were victorious at the 3rd annual Steeple Claydon Football Club 6-a-side.

Club Chairman, David Terry, praised his committee and volunteers for helping to make the day a success. "At the start of the day we thought we would be up against it with a couple of teams pulling out at the last minute, but we rallied round and got the thing going. Once it was up and running it ran especially well.

I'd like to thank all members of the committee who attended/helped on the day, Clive Griffin who lending us his barbeque, Andy R who manned the barbeque all day and Andy & Jayne Terry for their loan of the PA equipment and for making a number of cakes to sell as well as wives and girlfriends who helped out on various stalls and stands. Particular thanks to Buckingham Athletic Assistant Manager, Spike Marsden, for stepping in and reffing a few of the games when needed. Also thanks to anyone else I've missed!

We made a solid profit on the day which will certainly help us this calendar year. Thanks too to all those who took part, I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Particular congratulations to Team Steam on their victory"
