St Francis has a proud history of rugby played in a competitive but welcoming atmosphere. We want to make sure that everyone has a great time at St Francis, whether they’re 5 or 95, male or female, supporting St Francis or the opposition. Respect is a core value; respect to each other, to the opposition and to match officials. We also have strong respect for the community around us and make sure that all social events are managed appropriately.

Rugby for over 60 years

St Francis RFC is a club on the rise. Last year the Men's team narrowly missed out on promotion to Sussex division Two. Whilst just the year before, the Men's team managed to get to the Sussex Plate Final, an amazing triumph for the team as they were facing a rival team two leagues above them.

The Ladies team are having a phenomenal season this year. St Francis Ladies are currently sitting at the top of South East Division Two with promotion firmly in their sights; an excellent accomplishment for the Team, and one the club are extremely proud of. This has been made possible due to the amazing effort to recruit players over the summer.

In 2017, the club have happily agreed with St Catherine’s Hospice to be the clubs first charity sponsor.

Loyalty and Affiliations

St Francis are known for being a loyal club. They will never turn their back on, or forget anyone that has helped them. Whether that is through playing or sponsorship.

Recently we have raised over £2000 for our Charity Partner: St Catherine’s Hospice. We have also helped Ram sports club by introducing them to many new customers through our social nights, and recommendations to friends and family. We would love to continue having a presence at the club and helping both of our businesses succeed.

We also have many connections in the local community such as; alternative venues, builders, plumbers and other business associated with the club. If required, these connections are more than happy to assist us in solving any issues that may arise.
