Following a 4-0 win in the opening game of the season, the Dorset team must be feeling positive heading into the first away game of their 2016-17 campaign.
Last weekend they hosted Basingstoke, who finished 2nd in the league last year. Despite their near miss on promotion, Basingstoke were made to look very average with very few goal scoring opportunities. Yet, at the other end, Sam Butterfield (2), Todd Clark and Dan Bartram all scored and so took the glory for what was a soild whole-squad performance.
Such a performance must bouy the team before their second league fixture. However, their upcoming opponents, London Academicals, were involved in their own goal-fest last time out and finished up 2-3 winners at Fareham. This put them 4th in the league as one of the 5 teams taking 3 full points from the first weekend.
