st ives draw with stags

game 1 saw st ives start in great form after two weeks of good training
they soon got stuck into a very good stags side. st ives dominating rucks and mauls soon got on score sheet with cambell strong going over after good quick ball at the ruck. stags scored next after a missed tackle .

st ives did not let their heads drop as they have in past and soon were putting pressure on stags and with a good maul ball cambell again went over in the corner. stags scored again after missed tackle (somthing to work on)but that was to be the last score of the game. this was the best performace of the season score 2-2.

game 2.saw the second squad of the day take to the field with 2 new players michael and jake playing there very first game . tries from ewan x2 michael cocksedge and bradley gave st ives a 4-0 half time lead against stags who were also playing new players . st ives kept same team for second half but stags bought back all their first choice team and ran out 5-4 winners . despite result the performace of the whole squad was 110% better than anything they have done this season .

with the whole squad deserving the man of match award only 1 could be given and that was to james mallard for his outstanding takling during the games . next week see the side at home against royston which is a new fixture for us
