Playing against a larger squad, the St Ives boys put in some great team work to run in 5 tries against the visitors 2. Our front five were a strong unit, and our scrum in general was dominant. Some very effective rucking and mauling meant we retained possession for a lot of the first half, and put the visitors under pressure. We had a couple of tries held up, but kept the pressure on. After our first three tries, a defensive blip in the middle of the game allowed the visitors to make use of some very quick passing and run in two tries in quick succession, but we got back on track, regained possession to get our fourth try, then a fifth in the last few minutes of the game.
