We are a proud and thriving Cricket Club based at Bluebell Wood in Bannockburn,Stirling which has been our cherished home since 1980. Our picturesque ground, shared with Milton AFC and Bannockburn RFC, forms part of the St Modans Community Sports Club, an initiative founded by the Cricket Club's late Alex Pollock in the late 1970s. With excellent playing facilities and a growing reputation, we are no longer just a small club—we are a force to be reckoned with in Scottish cricket.
The Club currently fields two XIs in the Strathmore and Perthshire Union (SPCU). Our recent achievements include winning the SPCU Division 2 title in 2022, followed by the Division 1 championship in 2023. We proudly secured 6th place in the highly competitive SPCU Eastern Championship. These accomplishments build on our rich history, which includes winning the Small Club's Cup in 1987, successive promotions from Division 4 to Division 1 of the East of Scotland Cricket League in the late '80s and '90s, promotion to the Scottish National Cricket League from the S&P Union in 2001, and winning the Three Counties Cup in 2003. Between 2001 and 2004, we had the privilege of competing in the Scottish National Cricket League.
We are passionate about cricket and dedicated to fostering talent at all levels. The Club is actively recruiting players of all ages and abilities, with a particular focus on expanding our Junior Section. Over the years, we have welcomed players from across the globe, including all test-playing nations, most associate nations, and even a few beyond! Whether you're a seasoned player, a budding talent, or simply a cricket enthusiast, you are assured of a warm welcome at St Modans Cricket Club.
