After making two finals prior to the game, the U15s looked to round off their time together as a district team with a win, entering their third final of the season. And, the did just that. In a close game vs Trafford the boys put in a phenomenal performance taking big chances in the game and remaining strong in defence to limit the opposition.

The game started quickly with Trafford going close to the opener after 5 minutes, however similar to the last time we faced each other, C. Smith popped up with two massive goals which immediately put us on the front for the majority of the first half. Trafford had some chances, some ruled out for offside and one where Patrick produced an outstanding save; however the majority of the chances in the half fell our way.

At the start of the second half, Trafford started the better and had some good moments in possession, but some great play from Tiernan to break up play in midfield, and then slick combinations between Glackin, Morris and Poppleton result in Morris grabbing the 3-0 advantage. Trafford were not done after that and did find a goal from a corner, but then Glackin secured the win and the trophy with a scorcher, curling the ball around the goalkeeper into the top corner.

The win crowned the boys Greater Manchester Inter-District champions for the second year running, after winning the league with a 100% win record last year. This season they remained unbeaten in the County, winning all games in the build up to the final. With the season and team now finished, it was a great send off for a great group of players.
