Runs Galore as Club Revels in Maximum 60 Point Haul!

"On a bouncy wicket poor Faringdon had no answer to the pace & hostility of Hibberd, Northwood & Litten"

The 1st XI returned to form with an excellent performance to trounce Faringdon on their own patch. Batting first, Stoney posted 239/7, thanks to knocks of 80 by Adrian Birkett, 58 by Dan Farrant and 57 by Tim Wyatt.
On a bouncy wicket poor Faringdon had no answer to the pace & hostility of Sam Hibberd (5/14), Ciaran Northwood (2/44) and Steve Litten (1/35). Gub picked up the other 2 wickets for a 30 point victory. The home team were dismissed for 143, a significant improvement on the 22 they totalled last Saturday, but still almost 100 runs short of the Stones total.

The 2nd XI notched their 5th league win on the bounce by crushing Kidlington 3rd by 133 runs. Winning the toss on "a road" of a wicket with a fast outfield, skipper Stewart Moss took full advantage with 88, adding 119 for the 4th wicket with Jordan Newman - who went even better with a hard hitting 93! Sadly both fell short of deserved tons but this only allowed the returning Jack Jackson to blitz a quick 34no as a formidable target of 258/5 was set.
The bowling quartet of Liam Hatton (2/33), Scott Thomas (1/30), Rowan Moss (3/25) and Dave Skidmore (3/33) ruthlessly polished off Kidlington's response for 125.

In the Fantasy Cricket, manager of the week was Sam Townsend, who climbs to 3rd in the league table - but Dan Taylor retains his comfortable lead at the top on 3710 pts from Ben Hayes in 2nd.
Top of the player points standings is also Tayls on 445 pts, from Fazza in 2nd on 401pts.
All to play for!
