MLF Run Home Tightens

The Florida Lions (4-2) sweep of a matinee twin-bill over the Suncoast Suns (1-4) Saturday, August 18, adds considerable pressure on the ladder-leading St. Petersburg Swans, as the 2018 Major League Footy Premiership Season heads into September.

With the Tampa Bay Bombers also sitting at 4-2 - and with a double-header with the Clearwater Kangas on tap for August 25, the Swans are suddenly in danger of falling out of the lead for the minor Premiership.

Although any positive result in their final three matches should see the Bloods lock up a Finals berth, a reschedule with the always-tough Miami Saints also looms on St. Pete's schedule for the remaining days of the season.
