Strathmore 79-0 Dunfermline
With the wind rallying high and having claimed the gazebo as its victim, the conditions were ‘perfect’ for a game of rugby.
The two sides met a mere 2 weeks ago and it was clear to see Dunfermline had put in a lot of hard work in that time. Their defence and attack both massively improved, they made Strathie work extremely hard throughout the entire game.
Strathmore took a while to settle in to the game but with the team finding some structure and some converted tries that didn’t hit the crossbar, the women in black came away with their biggest score to date.
Neither team gave up during the game and it is amazing to see the growth and development in just a couple of weeks. All players should be proud of their performance today!
Thank you to Dunfermline for making the journey for their first official game and to KirrieDumplings for providing top notch post match grub. A massive thank you to all supporters who gave up their afternoon to support us, and finally get to see us play at home in our wonderful new kit, sponsored by S & J Joiners Ltd - Forfar (get in touch with them for all your joinery needs).
