Sutton Athletic 0-3 Erith &Belvedere

After 346 days Sutton Athletic finally lose a home game in the League

The last time the Sutts lost in the league was a 2-1 defeat to Stansfeld on 6th November 2021

Last night we welcomed league leaders Erith and Belvedere who went into the game on 10 wins from 10 league games.

The visitors took an early lead as the Sutts retreated deeper and deeper and allowed Danny Lear to score after 3 minutes.

The visitors then dominated chances and possession with Sutts debutant keeper making some fine saves to keep the deficit down.

Midway through the 1st half Lear added to his and The Deres lead when a ball over the top was lifted over the Sutton keeper to mate it 0-2.

In the second half the Sutts rallied and began to dominate possession. A Billy Muckle volley was saved with some excellent acrobatics from the E&B keeper.

Sutton were more than a match for the visitors for the majority of the second half before a sucker punch goal wrapped up the victory for the Deres

A long ball over the top was met by a Deres winger who fizzed a ball into the box for Tunde Aderonmu to score
