At home on the 27th . 11 o’clock ok

The last away game of the year for the Pedlars, luck and fortune still missing. A disappointing first half, too many silly mistakes that let the opposition take advantage and at the half time whistle the Blue Imps already had three goals to their credit. A much better second half, five minutes in, Swaffham awarded a free kick just outside the left corner of the box, the shot blocked but the rebound smashed into the right hand bottom corner of the net by Alex Smith. With fifteen minutes to go it looked as though the tables could be turning, Matthew Blackford brought down in the box, but unfortunately his effort from the spot put wide of the goal. A further penalty shout denied by the referee later in the game, the Pedlars returning without a point, knowing that they could of squared the match. The festive fixture on Monday 27th December welcomes the Ghosts of Fakenham to the MG Building Maintenance Stadium. Kick off is at 11am. The sides have already met twice this season in League and Senior Cup action. Fakenham coming off best on both occasions, the Pedlars looking to address the balance.
The only other game this weekend saw the 'A' Team go down to FC Viking Reserves two one in the Shoe Trade Cup. The Under 18's having their mid-week game postponed due to fog last Thursday evening. They now enter their season break with fixtures on hold until February.
The Veterans kept the Pedlar flag flying last Sunday with a four three thrilling encounter against Snettisham. On target for the 'older' Pedlars was Anthony Reeve, Justin Powley, James Butters and Ray Harrison. The victory sees them now sitting third in their League.
The Players and Committee of Swaffham Town FC would like to wish all of our supporters and sponsors the very best for a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year, we are very grateful for your continued support and encouragement.
