Full speed ahead as all of the adult teams have started their respective competitions. A disappointing result for the First Team on the road to AFC Sudbury. Conceding in the thirteenth minute and then two minutes later an own goal, both against the run of play. Opportunities not taken, the half time score against the run of play. Ten minutes into the second half a spark of hope, Captain Callum Madigan with a free kick twenty five yards out, a perfect delivery clipping the top right angle of the woodwork, leaving the keeper no chance. Despite efforts, the equaliser never materialised to salvage a point. The Pedlars in midweek action on Tuesday when they welcome new members of the Eastern Counties League, Whittlesey Athletic to Shoemakers Lane.
A midweek League victory for the Reserves with a three two win against Mattishall Reserves, Sary Rahma, Charlie Brindle and Blake Davies on target for the Pedlars but defeat in the Cyril Ballyn Cup on the road to Norton Athletic. The two sides meet again on Saturday at Shoemakers Lane in League action.
The 'A' Team started their season's campaign away to Redgrave Rangers, a goal apiece and points shared, Jack Cropley on target for the Pedlars. No game next weekend. The Under 18's bowed out of the FA Challenge Youth Cup on Thursday evening, Newmarket doing the double over the Pedlars with a four nil win. The League competition starts in earnest this week with the Ghosts of Fakenham Town visiting the Young Pedlars. A massive local derby to start the season.
