A side go down at home

A hard fought three points for the Pedlars Reserves with a determined and gritty performance against a physical Lodden United. The Pedlars took the lead through Ty Bond, played through and precisely played into the goal for the opener. Jack prentice with the second. Lodden replied and rallied to find the equaliser. The winner coming with twelve minutes to play, an own goal but sufficient for the Pedlars to clinch the points. There next game, the A1065 derby against Castle Acre Swifts, at home 2 January 2021.
Less fortune on the Myers Playing Field, the 'A' Team hosting MJ Dons. The visitors making the most of the encounter clinching two goals in the first half. A third in the second half looked enough to take the points but a glimmer of hope when James Lindsell won a headed challenge beating the keeper to claw one back with twenty five minutes to play. It proved too little too late, the visitors better a further goal on the counter to put the game out of reach. The 'A' Team next scheduled fixture is mid January.
The First Team are still to decide if their planned League fixture against Thetford Town will go ahead Bank Holiday Monday, 28 December following the Governments announcements about tougher restrictions. We await a decision and advice and guidance from the League and County FA. Please check the website and social media for more information www.swaffhamtownfc.co.uk
