On to next week

A mixed week for the Pedlars, an impressive two one victory away to Parson Drove. The score opened by a screaming free kick from Eoin McQuaid, 25 yards out, just of centre of goal, his shot clipping the underside of the bar before going into the net. The Pedlars second in the eighty ninth minute, played through and chipping the keeper from the edge of the area into the top right hand corner. Drove with a consolation in added time but too late to claim back a point. A game of two halves on Saturday away to Cornard who have had a good start to their season. The Ards took the lead eighteen minutes into the game, the Pedlars drawing level in the thirty fifth minute, Calum Madigan setting Kieran Bruce through for him play pat the left side of the keeper into the bottom right corner of the net. Six minutes into the second half, Cornard retook the lead and a counterseal penalty awarded three minutes later took the fire out of the Pedlars hearts. The Ards making it four two minutes into added time. Next weekend the First Team welcome Haverhill Borough to Shoemakers Lane and then the Bloaters of Great Yarmouth Town on Tuesday. Both fixtures crucial for each side as they sit within the bottom half of the League table.

The Reserves performed well in the first half of their meeting with UEA Reserves, but the visitors took the initiative in the second half to take all three points in a two, nil victory. Next weekend they are in County Junior Cup competition travelling to Laundry Lane, Thorpe, to play Thorpe Village First Team.

The 'A' Team on the road to Easton 'A' had a tough battle away going down one goal to nil, completing a bad day at the office for the Pedlars. Next weekend they are in cup action, away to Norwich Medics Reserves on the 3G playing surface at Thorpe St. Andrew school.

The Under 18's displayed grit and determination mid-week with a fine home win against Sheringham. The final result three goals to one. Joseph Minns with a brace, Evan Matthews with the other. A further three games at home coming up with Norfolk Community Sports Foundation visiting the Worzel Roofing Stadium this Thursday.

The Senior Pedlars with a convincing seven nil win away to Costessey Sports last Sunday, this Sunday they welcome Terrington to the Lane.
