5-0 loss

Following last Saturday's performance the Pedlars on the road to the New Croft , home of Haverhill Rovers, were unable to match their form. Switched off at the start, conceding in the opening minute and then giving away a cheap penalty in the twenty second minute further putting them on the back foot. The next goal would be crucial, either putting the game to bed or potentially a turning point to salvage a point or indeed pinch all three. Unfortunately the goal fell to Rovers in the fifty fifth minute, a perfectly struck free kick, conceded from a needless foul, flying into the top right hand corner of the net. Further goals four minutes later and then eight minutes from time. Further evidence of the run of luck in the eighty fifth minute, Matthew Blackford stretching to make contact with a low driven ball across goal, his attempt striking the post and bouncing to safety from three yards out. Next weekend the Pedlars entertain fifth place Mildenhall Town.
The best result of the day coming from the Reserves. Despite being two nil down at half time, they clawed their way back to share the points with AC Mill Lane in a thrilling game of two halves at Shoemakers Lane. Nathan Lawes and from the bench James Linsdell on the scoresheet for the Pedlars. Next weekend they are on the road to Buxton.
The 'A' Team also at home, were unable to overcome FC Viking, loosing by four goals to two. Ashley Rowland and Lee Goodsell with he Pedlars brace. Next weekend they are at home again, Horning First team the visitors.
A mid week friendly for the Under 18's against Kings Lynn Elite Under 16's saw them with a comfortable five nil victory. It will be a different matter this Thursday at the MG Building Maintenance Stadium, with the A1065 battle with derby rivals Fakenham Town. Their first meeting of the season with the Pedlars sitting in eight position, the Ghosts in ninth. Both sides having a bumpy season but the bragging rights for these precious three points will no doubt ensure an entertaining fixture for the neutral supporter.
