Swaffham Town Under 18's v Downham Town Under 18's

Local derbies never fail to disappoint and this one didn't! The game started off with plenty of chances for the two sides but mostly for the young pedlars. An intricate through ball from Thurston to Murray who then plays to Turvey who eventually strikes the ball over the bar. Downhams first chance sees them hit the crossbar with a long range effort from 20 yards. Swaffham have been caught out 4 times in the space of 15 minutes by Downhams route one approach over Swaffhams back four. Reed goes on a mazey run through Downhams midfield and manages to hit the post. Sloppy passing from Swaffham in their defensive third, Downham win the ball and goes onto hit the woodwork. A clear cut chance for Swaffham was put wide from Turvey. A curling cross from Reed, Turvey gets on the end of it and glances it into the back of the net but unfortunately is disallowed. A corner from Castellan in the dying moments of the game, whipped into the six yard box, Pack gets his right foot on it and it ends up hitting the back of the net.
