IMPRESSIVE SWAY ON THE UP
After suffering a stuttering start to the season mainly due to to unavailability of players Sway now seem to have a settled squad and are reaping the rewards with two excellent back to back away wins which now see them climb to 7th in the league. Last week they travelled to Colden Common and came away 6-2 victors with Mackinder and M. Brading both bagging a brace, Munday and the pick of the bunch a 35 yard thunderbolt by Petty. Saturday saw them visit Winchester Castle and come away with another 3 points thanks to a late winner from skipper Darren Ritchie.
The first half was a very even affair with both sides squandering good chances. R. Brading looked to have the best chance of the half when he was put clean through with only the keeper to beat but inexplicably he was wrongly ruled offside when clearly onside by several yards.
The second half was a very different matter with Sway totally dominating the hosts and creating numerous chances only to be thwarted by some outstanding goalkeeping. They appeared to have broken the deadlock when Ritchie rounded the full back to score from close range but to everyone's suprise the home linesman wrongly ruled him offside.
However, he was not to be out done when minutes later he popped up at the far post to score a much deserved winner
