Wheelchair Team League format changing!

Recent news has come from our club chairman Tony Ellis.

The league format is changing this year, the Wheelchair Team will be playing a series of double healers.

The Wheelchair team have one home fixture this year and 3 away fixtures. The Wheelchair teams home fixture will be a double header against Halifax and Leyland Warriors, The kick off is at 12:00pm.

There listed below is a competition;

Development and training sessions have begun and referees are getting back into the swing of things.

Every year we officiate at the London Origin series, which is a great event that sees London come together as North London versus South London. The Referees on these games are picked based on their season’s performance and they will be sporting the 2014 Match Official kit, which this year we need your help with!

We are putting the whole Rugby League community in control as we ask you to design our kit for us. All you need to do is simply draw a design and send it to us via email or twitter, the society will then judge the winner and then we will contact the winner to finalise their ideas.

It wouldn’t be a referee’s competition without rules. Your design should not clash with the blue or maroon of the North and South team kits, and should not contain anything offensive.
The winner will not only get to design our kit for us, but they will also receive two tickets to this year’s challenge cup final and a replica copy of their shirt.

Please send your finished designs to contactsrlrs@virginmedia.com or via twitter @South_RL_Refs no later the Monday 30th April 2014 along with your preferred contact method. So get your brains working, and get designing!

Thinking of becoming a match official? Why not give it a go! Contact Southern RLRS on contactsrlrs@virginmedia.com or follow us on twitter @South_RL_refs.
