FA Vase Round 5, 7th February 2015.
The road to Wembley for the FA Vase continues on Saturday for The Brewers as they head South down the M1 to play AFC Mansfield of the Northern Counties East League Division 1. AFC Mansfield are managed by Rudy Funk who was formerly at Scarborough Athletic. The club were formed in 2012 and their current run in the FA Vase is their best to date.
The Bulls are having a good season and are currently 4th in their debut season in the NCEL Division 1 just 2 points off the top of the table. In all competitions, they won 5 games and drew ` one out of the 6 games that they played in January. They also won their last 3 games of December so are a team in fine form. Their leading scorer is Dean Rick with 19 goals followed by Carl Haslam with 11 goals. On Tuesday evening they played away at Shirebrook Town in the NCEL and won 3-2 with a late goal.
If you are travelling to Mansfield , your Sat Nav code for the game is NG19 OEE. There are coaches going to the game, so please see Facebook for details. I will predict a tough game and a major challenge for Tadcaster Albion. They are a dangerous team and I will go for a 2-2 draw and a replay back at Tadcaster.
