Tadley U13's travelled to Alton for their final match of the season. Having soundly beaten Alton earlier in the season, the Tigers were well aware that Alton would be looking to redress the balance and the boys were much quieter than normal during the warm up.
Both teams made a strong start and we knew we were in for a tough match but Tadley managed to keep possession and started to push into Alton's half and hold the territory. Tadley kept up the pressure and were soon rewarded with a try. Normal service appeared to have been resumed when Tadley scored again to go 10-0 up. As the Tigers relaxed a bit with a two try lead, Alton saw their opportunity to get back in the game and came back with a try of their own. Half time score, 5-10 to Tadley. Game on!
The second half saw both teams pushing hard for the win and a draw looked likely but Tadley rallied and scored a further two tries before Alton got one back, The final whistle saw Tadley finish up 20 -10 winners after one of the most competitive games they had played all season. All agreed it was a great game of rugby payed by two truly competitive teams.
