Tattenhall 1st team started the season with a victory away at Northwich.
The long awaited return of keeper / skipper Roy Sandford lost the toss and was asked to bat in superb weather at Moss Farm.
Umer anchored the Tattenhall innings with a fine 63 putting on 49 for the opening wicket.
Sadler (25) was the second wicket to fall on 103. Other notable contributions included 22 from Reeves and a good 24 on debut for Tom Fearnall.
The innings finished on 209 in 44 overs which always looked too much for a weakened home side.
Brock and Hinchcliffe were an accurate new ball partnership and soon had Northwich in trouble at 4-4. Brief respite took them to 17 before another clatter of wickets left them bowled out in just 14 overs for 27. Jack Hinchcliffe finished with a remarkable 6-20 from his seven overs and Alan Brock proved impossible to play as he ended with 4-7 from his seven overs.
Warrington will provide a tougher test at the Flacca this Saturday but always good to get an early season victory. Game starts at 1pm and all visitors are welcome.
