Wonderful mornings hockey in the sunshine at Cheddar Valley. Two mixed teams were entered, for some players it was their first competition experience - both teams won more than they lost (I didn't keep scores!)
But more importantly & most encouraging was that both teams and all players showed lots of hockey skills over the series of games.
Some excellent team hockey played - huge amount of effort helping and supporting each other off the ball; gutsy, brave & determined tackling & chasing back; passing & goal scoring.
Alba & Dexter - hope the bruises haven't got too big!

Over an hours hockey played almost back to back & they all came off smiling at the end!
Well done to Leah in goal who played for both teams, so almost 2 hours!!

Thank you boys & girls for all your effort today; thank you parents for transport & support & lastly Sara, Val & Jason for admin, managing & umpiring.

Hi all,

Please note that although the team has been selected as one mixed and one boy team, on the day and upon arrival at the pitch the children will be allocated into mixed teams.

Normal attire for matches so red and white hooped socks, black skort for girls and white shorts for boys. Match shirts will be allocated upon arrival at the pitch and upon payment of the £6 match fee - correct change if possible please.

The festival will finish at 13:24 (just to be exact!)
