TD Overcome tough Bromyard Team.

Well deserved three points won at Bromyard Town
Our previous trips to Bromyard Town have invariably been in the winter months of December and January, with matches played in miserable conditions and on a boggy bobbly pitch and guess what, Saturday was no different. The only difference this time around was the fact we travelled to Bromyard on the back of four previous victories and with a very exciting crop of players. Due to the history between the two teams. Bromyard were always going to raise their game against us and provide us with a very difficult afternoon. Nerves were settled though as we seemed to score with our first real attack. After good work in central midfield a defense splitting pass found Tyrone Clarke
free on goal, and he looped in an opener at the second attempt. I felt we were in complete control at this point but needed a second goal. Right on the stroke of half time Dan Harvey, playing at right back, gave away a needless free kick. A Bromyard midfielder swung in a hopeful free kick aiming for the penalty spot but somehow miscued his effort straight into the top corner for an unlikely equalizer. As the second half started it was clear that Bromyard were determined to defend deep in numbers and play on the counter and they took the lead on their one and only foray into our half. After Chris Knight
was judged to have pushed a forward player, Bromyard took the free kick quickly and caught us on a two v two. A cross from wide left was met by a very good run and side foot finish. Although we were in disbelief that we found ourselves behind, the player ti their credit continued to plug away and an equalizer was just a matter of when not if. And a scrappy equalizing goal came from a delighted Andrew Hudson
, playing against his former team. As time wore on I substituted Tyrone for Bails in the hope we could grab a winner and with ten minutes remaining Andy Hudson turned provider putting in a low cross from the right for Jack Bailey
to flick into the bottom corner for what was a very neat finish and a very well deserved winning goal. A very good three points that keeps the momentum going and a fantastic show of character in coming from behind to win.
