Honours Even In Hard Fought Game.

TD Respond to Earn Point
Played on a miserable and windy afternoon, this was a closely fought game that Team Dudley just edged. The players adjusted well to a new formation and after a dull first twenty minutes, Team Dudley started to create.
Good work from Tyrone Clark to round the keeper wide on the right, saw him cut a ball back to Nathan who's shot was blocked by some desperate defending. While Keelan Monger in goal, had just the one tame long range effort to deal with, TD and Nathan looked the more threatening, having two more efforts blocked in the six yard box. H - T 0-0.
Playing against the wind in the second half, TD continued to edge the game and created some really good chances. Nathan Jones latched on to through ball but the opposition keeper pulled off a great save as Nath attempted to slip the ball past him. Although we looked in complete control, disaster struck on 70 minutes. A poor goal kick saw the ball returned and send the Wyrley No 9 clear on goal. Not being the quickest though, he was soon caught up by two defenders but still allowed to shoot from 18 yards. It was a powerful shot but being straight at Keelan, he should have kept it out. A bad goal all round.
Having fell behind, TD showed a great response which was helped by the sending off of Wyrley No 4 for arguably his third bookable offence. On 82 minutes, we were level after a great through pass by Liam Smith saw NATHAN JONES take the ball in his stride and smash the ball in low and hard from 15 yards. We could have won the game in the dying minutes as first Ben Mantom
had a goal bound effort deflected wide and Tyrone Clark saw a goal bound effort deflected and fall in to the hands of a grateful keeper but Keelan made a great save from a thirty yard Wyrley effort.
All in all, a difficult game to judge. Controlled the game for long periods allowing only two serious shots all game from the oppositionwho scored from the first. Created enough chances to win the game but grateful for an equalising goal and a share of the spoils. F-T 1-1.
