Fastnet tournaments are few and far between, which is probably why when they do come around even the circle defence want a piece of the attacking action. The best way of summing up this tournament is with the words of our new coach, Keith -

'there were some moments of netballing brilliance and some more nailbiting moments'

Brilliance coming in the form of Cat's six double pointers from outside the area (including two during our powerplay) with a few more coming from KP, Ebs and Pommers as well as Annie's increasingly impressive Centre cameos and the fact that we managed to master 'rolling subs' for the first time in Swans Fastnet history.

A nail biting moment certainly came when KP managed to become completely trapped inside a giant net which was bizarrely placed courtside, clinging on for dear life. It was here that aforementioned fury resulted in said net being quickly removed and various worried members of the host club ensuring that this aggravated Swan wasn't about to sue anyone.

Luckily we managed to make it through the day unscathed, trying out some adventurous line ups whilst trying to avoid sun stroke and having a good few laughs along the way topped off with a champagne win in the raffle and gin & tonic cupcakes for tea.
