Coach Cav hopes to unlock the talent of Jon Evans

Jon Evans is returning. Jon came to the Raiders last year after a long period of not playing any sort of rugby and soon started to show the glimpses of the talent that earned him Schoolboy County honours in rugby Union. Coach Cav said “Jon came to us as a relative novice to rugby and was very rusty but he worked hard in training and started to show his skills. He’s a long rangy runner that will do well as a winger but he’s a big strong lad and could also do a job as a 2nd rower. He played a couple of games for us last season scoring a try as well but his season was finished early with concussion. I’ve spoken with Jon and he’s raring to go.”
