2017/18 NCEL CLUB ALLOCATION APPROVED

The FA Leagues Committee have today approved the allocation of clubs in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division and Division One for the 2017/18 season.

There will be 22 clubs in both divisions with Goole AFC coming down into the Premier Division from the Northern Premier League whilst Hall Road Rangers, Penistone Church and Pontefract Collieries come up from Division One.

Coming into the league in Division One will be East Yorkshire Carnegie from the Humber Premier League, FC Bolsover from the Central Midlands League and Swallownest from the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League.

Meanwhile, the three teams relegated from the Premier Division are confirmed as Armthorpe Welfare, Barton Town Old Boys and Retford United.

Leaving the league are Cleethorpes Town who are promoted to the Northern Premier League whilst Nostella Miners Welfare and Westella & Willerby depart from Division One into Step 7 and Teversal are moving across to the East Midlands Counties League.

The allocation will be ratified at the NCEL's Annual General Meeting which takes place in Scarborough on Saturday 17th June, 2017.
