Full quote from Martin Bower:
Lee Naughton ‘Naughts’ has been with us now for about a season and a half obviously COVID affected. It’s credit to him that he’s managed 400 appearances and in the twilight of his career is still going strong. Naughts has a fantastic attitude and is great to be around the lads constantly encouraging and issuing words of wisdom. When he eventually stops playing we hope he will join our coaching staff as he’s got loads to offer. Well done Naughts it’s a pleasure having you around - and as the lads always let you know ‘Tevie Legend’ *️⃣4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣*️⃣ ??⚽️

Naughts began his senior football career back in 2003. Throughout the years he has spent time playing for Blackwell, Clipstone, Stavely, Shirebrook, Teversal, Gedling, Hallam, Heanor Town, Eastwood Town, Sutton Town, Glapwell, Blidworth, Chesterfield Town, Borrowash Victoria, Harworth and South Normanton. Naughts has taking more than one spell at some of those listed including returning to Tevie after his spell with South Normanton. , Naughts has scored some vital goals against former Clubs including winners against Heanor Town last season and South Normanton earlier this season.

It was when scoring the winner against former club Heanor Town that Naughts was labelled a 'TEVIE LEGEND' in the celebrations that followed the goal.

Newly appointed Reserves Manager Callum Harris states:
'Lee's experiences within football shine through week in & week out. His attitude In sessions and match days naturally leads the players around him. Breaking past 400 games this weekend is a testament to his ability and value to teams throughout his none league playing career'

As Naughts hits this 400 mark he will no doubt have his eye on other targets as he has so much still to offer on the pitch as well as off the pitch.

Congratulations to Naughts for reaching this amazing milestone in what has been an impressive career to date.
