The goals flowed on the second Saturday of the new season with the windy conditions doubtless playing their part.
Rowsley 86 sit at the top of the Premier South table following their third straight win, their latest victims being Ashland Rovers who were narrowly edged out 4-3. Ashland led with goals from Caolan Dobney and Liam Black, but Rowsley struck back, Noah Evans (2), Andrew Roome and Conor Hiley put them in the driving seat, Ben Jones adding a third for Ashland.

Linby’s Janes Hallam went one better as he grabbed four goals in his side’s 7-1 rout of Arnold Town. Sean Craven, Kurt Harrison and Brad Newby with a penalty were Linby’s other scorers, Harry Warrick got a consolation goal for the visitors.
Mickleover Reserves followed up their four goal win on Thursday night with another four at Mansfield Hosiery Mills, the final score here 4-1. Surf Tefera’s double and one apiece for Fin Davis and Tom Eccleshall took the points, Luke Beastall scoring a late penalty for the Millers.
South Normanton Athletic came from behind to beat Holbrook St Michaels 3-1 at Lees Lane. Liam Gregg struck two minutes before half time to put the visitors ahead, but Guy Wilding equalised four minutes after the restart, the Shiners adding two more midway through the half through Luke Smithson and Sam Cox to claim the points.
Underwood Villa also went down 3-1 at home to Blidworth Welfare. Playing against a strong breeze, Blidworth took a 22nd minute lead through Luke Bacon, Kau Wilson doubling the lead a minute before half time. Troy Carty reduced the arrears a minute into the second half with a stunning free kick, late substitution Julian Topliss clinching it for Blidworth in the final minute.
Hilton Harriers beat Sherwood Colliery Reserves 2-1 at the Meese, Karl Chadfield and Max Bulmer the scorers, Casey Cockings replying for the Wood.

Result of the day in the Premier North division came at Godknow Road, where Crowle Colts recovered from their midweek defeat to beat the much-fancied Dinnington Town 2-0, the goals coming from Zak Shipman and Kurt Robinson.
Staveley Reserves got their season underway at Sutton Rovers, returning with a 3-1 win. Callum Stockton put the hosts in front in the 15th minute, the lead lasting for just four minutes before Ben Mosley levelled. Alex Sanders put Staveley ahead with 66 minutes played, Oliver Papworth getting a third a couple of minutes later.
AFC Bentley will be looking for a new penalty taker after missing two in their 5-2 home defeat by St Josephs Rockware. Dan Wiltshire scored the only goal of the first half to give St Josephs the advantage. Alex Boyd put them two up on 67 minutes, Dave Stacey replying for the home side three minutes later. Boyd’s second and one from Dean Bonser put the visitors clear and although Brad Sykes scored a second for Bentley with four minutes left, Chris Lovett had the final word for St Josephs.
A goal in each half by Chris Hopkins gave AFC Phoenix the points against Boynton Sports, Hopkins finding the net in the 18th and 71st minutes.
Thorne Colliery went down to a single goal defeat for the second successive week, a single strike by Ainsley Finney ensuring all three points for Harworth Colliery at Moorends.
Collingham were 3-1 winners at Renishaw thanks to second half goals fro Lewis Stott (49), Jake Morrison on the hour and Chris Self ten minutes from time. Jimmy Savage got a late penalty for Renishaw.

Top scorers of the day were Bessacarr in Division One North. They travelled to Shirebrook Soldiers and hammered the home side 10-1. Max Bytheway hit a hat trick and there were two goals each for Tom McLaughlin, Evan Fortune-West and Lee Holmes with Jonathan Murfin also scoring.
Sheffield opened their season by winning 3-2 at 780 JLC. Jacques Etia scored all three for Sheffield, Oliver Bradbury with both goals for the hosts.
Harworth Colliery made it a double over Thorne Colliery, the reserves winning 3-2. Goals for Harworth came from Ryan Dickinson, Michael Wibberley and Marley Alder, Bradley Parks and Lewis Dale on target for Thorne.

In the Central Division Woodhouse Colts won 4-0 at Holbrook St Michaels, Ethan Beardsley, Jordan Glenn, Jamie Royle and Charles Simpkins sharing the goals.
South Normanton Athletic enjoyed their trip to Ashland Rovers, returning with a 7-0 victory. There were hat tricks for Jak Lightly and Sam McDowell and one for Jack Evans.
A Stuart Legg goal in the 65th minute was the clincher for Kilburn against Cromford & Wirksworth Town, while Ryan Marchington scored twice to enable Wirksworth Ivanhoe to beat Pinxton 2-1, Liam Wain with the Pinxton goal.

In Division One South Melbourne Dynamo had a second big win, 5-0 against Selston, Jack Goodband with a hat trick and Jack Bodill getting the other two.
A Benni Wilson double and one each for James Gale and Ryan Bache gave Long Eaton Community a 4-1 win over Linby Colliery, Sam Brookes with Linby's goal.
PMG Academy beat Clifton All Whites 2-1, Musa Jawara and Ebrima Kuyateh their matchwinners, Clifton's scorer was Kane Tooley.
Ripley Town opened their account with a 4-1 defeat of Underwood Villa. Scorers for Ripley were Danny O’Donnell, Ryan Cumberland, Micky Dunne and Jack Brown, Patrick Marshall with the goal for Villa.
