The post of Commercial Manager is a key post for this leading community football club who runs seniors, youth, male and female football teams. Currently running in our 101st year and wanting to continue our growth, we need to fill the post as a matter of urgency.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Commercial Manager.
Salary: Volunteer post, but the Directors are open to innovative proposals to how the post could function.
Hours of work: As a volunteer role, flexible is key to allow the Commercial Manager to best use their team. During the football season, attendance on match days is preferred and attendance at the monthly Director meetings will be expected.
Reporting to: Chairman, Nick James

JOB PURPOSE

The commercial manager is expected to maximise commercial income to the club, through:

Advertising/sponsorship, match day programme adverts, pitch side hoardings, club website, team wear, match sponsorship and player sponsorship.
Improve attendance and income for senior games.
Use of facilities: functions / meeting facilities, bar, tea bar.Lead fundraising and social activities / events.

MAIN DUTIES

Maintain and develop relationships with key organisation’s to maximise commercial sponsorship and advertising revenue.
Develop and implement innovative community awareness/community involvement strategies to maximise attendance at Senior games.
Liaise with other club officers (Directors, Tevie Bar and Football Officers, Programme and Website Editors and the leagues commercial officers to ensure the club is adhering to advertising and sponsorship obligations.
Develop online sales channels for tickets and other club merchandise/services
Other relevant and reasonable activities, as required by the Chairman or the football club Directors.
