The Weekend Round Up.

League leaders TEVERSAL won their third successive game with a 3-1 home win over WEST BRIDGFORD to keep them three points ahead at the top.
- ...from EMCL Review.

Perhaps the surprise result of the day was at HOLWELL SPORTS where the home side, sitting in 21st place in the league, inflicted upon fourth placed BELPER UNITED their first defeat in five games. Joe Hartopp’s 68th minute goal was enough to separate the teams. It meant that they pulled another three points nearer safety as RADCLIFFE OLYMPIC slipped to yet another home defeat whilst entertaining ANSTEY NOMADS who jumped into second place as a result of a 4-1 win. Kieran Wall put Olympic ahead on 15 minutes, but it was a lead they only held for a couple of minutes as James Ireland levelled and then Myles Saxton put the Nomads in front for the break. Zakari Adams and Dean Hopewell added goals in the second half for Anstey.

The highest scoring game of the day took place at Selhurst Street where RADFORD defeated BLABY & WHETSTONE ATHLETIC by the odd goal of seven in a game where the lead changes hands three times. Ryan Fowler put Radford in front on seven minutes; Ash Day levelling on 19 and Kai Tonge sending the visitors in at the break in front. Gino Kelleher restored parity on 53 minutes and Conor Moore put Radford back in front ten minutes later. Simon Hore extended their advantage from the penalty spot before Dan Henfrey reduced the deficit five minutes from the end. Blaby were forced to play with ten men from the hour mark when Tom Hill was sent off.

In contrast, the game between AYLESTONE PARK and CLIFTON ALL WHITES failed to produce a goal and both sides left with a point.

Aaron Large in the first half and Dan Jelley in the second were responsible for the goals which gave BIRSTALL UNITED the points in their game against ASHBY IVANHOE who could only reply through Mitch Woodbine.

The top-of-the-table game at Shaw Lane went by way of the visitors as two goals from Tom Moore in the last ten minutes gave SELSTON the points against HOLBROOK SPORTS, and it was a similar story at BORROWASH VICTORIA where goals from Jordan Alls in the ninth minute and an injury time strike from Ellis Evans gave visiting KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE victory.

It took an 81st minute goal from George Harrison to finally give DUNKIRK victory over a stubborn BARROW TOWN side who battled all the way. Oliver Clark had given the Boatmen the lead almost on the stroke of half time. But that didn’t last long as Nduoma Chilaka levelled four minutes into the second half.

After taking the lead with a Jack Jepson goal just three minutes in GEDLING MINERS WELFARE found themselves trailing 3-1 to GRAHAM STREET PRIMS with fifteen minutes to go. A brace from Kevin Morrow and one from Bradley Scard did the trick for Prims. Jepson got a second goal for the home side in the last minute but it wasn’t enough for them to save the day.

League leaders TEVERSAL won their third successive game with a 3-1 home win over WEST BRIDGFORD to keep them three points ahead at the top. Jack Griffiths put them ahead as early as the fourth minute and two goals in a minute mid-way through the first half from Dan Fletcher gave them an even bigger advantage. Jaylee Hodgson’s penalty three minutes into first half stoppage time was not enough to change the course of the game.
