At Home Against Britannia Juniors

It’s a tentative start by both sides as they scrap up and down the pitch. Twenty minutes in and play starts to flow as Tyreese J wins the ball and plays it out to Bradley G. Bradley G runs down the pitch and sends the ball to Keane B who’s at the far post. Keane B taps the ball home for a nicely worked goal. Tevie 1 Britannia 0. It’s not long before Tevie have another go as Josh B sends a long ball to Tyler N. Tyler N spots Alex S blasting towards the net and plays him a cracking ball. Alex S collects the ball midstride and puts it in the bottom left corner of the net. First half closes Tevie 2 Britannia 0.

Second half, two minutes in and Tevie apply the pressure as Tyler N takes the ball from a Britannia midfielder and blasts up the pitch. Tyler N looks up and slots a through ball to an unmarked Bradley G. Bradley G skips past the defender and with a super chip beats the keeper and claims Tevie’s third. Tevie 3 Britannia 0. An excellent corner ball from Ben T finds Bradley G. Bradley G shoots and scores his second goal. Tevie 4 Britannia 0. There’s a ruckus in midfield, but Alex S stays calm and wins the ball. Alex S sprints down the wing and sends in a well-placed ball to find the man on fire...Bradley G...You say Bradley...We say G... as he blasts in his hat-trick. Tevie 5 Britannia 0. Britannia catch a lucky break as a great initial save from Josh E sees the ball bobble and bounce back into the net. Tevie 5 Britannia 1. Great determination from Tyler N wins him the ball and he curls one in from outside the box. Tyler N watch’s the ball as it ricochets off a defenders arm and into the net for an own goal. As I’m doing the write up, I say Tyler N deserves the goal for all the effort he has put into the game, so there! Tevie 6 Britannia 1. As the game draws to a close Britannia keeper gift-wraps the ball to Tyler N. Tyler N with a great first touch finds a waiting Zakarie S. Zakarie S turns and runs at the keeper and puts the ball straight past him for the final goal of the match Tevie 7 Britannia 1.

A scrappy start chaps but a nice finish with some great football...well done!
