Today’s defence consists of Alex S on the right, Ben C & Rhys H centre, with Josh B Left. Zakarie S and James W held midfield whilst James N and Reece S played out on the wings. Tevie’s Bradley G and Ben T were up front and ready for action.

The Colts pressed Tevie from the off and managed to bag two early goals before our boys had the chance to settle in. Robin Hood tried our back four again but could not find a way through as Josh B manages to steel the ball and sends it to Zakarie S. Zakarie S spots Reece S running down the wing to start Tevie’s first attack on goal. Reece S has a go from just outside the box but is just wide of the mark. Good effort! It’s time for our midfield boys to weather the storm as the Colts get aggressive to try and win back the ball, but only manage to force a foul just outside the 18 yard box. The lads gather round the ball and have a bit of a natter, will it be Reece S, Josh B or Ben T? The decision is made as Ben T steps up to the ball. The face shows nothing but focus as he puts his laces through it and the ball curls into the top left corner. Cracking strike! The goal seems to push Tevie to try and find another. A nice bit of play from James S and Bradley G forces Colts to make a goal line clearance. Both teams battle on but cannot change the score line as the first half ends Tevie 1 Robin Hood Colts 2.

Colts start the second half hard and fast which earns them a yellow as there’s a bit of back chat towards the ref from their camp. It’s not long before Robin Hood strike again and make it Tevie 1 Colts 3. Mckai W is brought back onto the pitch and positions are changed to try and alter play and lift our boys, but it’s not enough to prevent a run of goals. Tevie 1 Colts 7. Josh E runs out to make a great stop and is rewarded with an injury and has to be subbed for Ben T. Tevie try and step up a gear as they win a corner. Reece S curls one into the back post right towards an unmarked Ben C who steps up and says thanks very much as he puts it over the line…nice one. Tevie 2 Colts 7. The game gets physical once again as the ref blows for a foul, there’s some back chat again and the Colts managers are left speechless as the ref pulls out the RED card, yes the RED card! Well would you Adam and Eve it! There’s more grumbling as the yellow card comes out to book more Robin Hood players. Not long after the game gets going again the ref blows the final whistle. Tevie 2 Robin Hood Colts 7.

We couldn’t quite grasp the game today lads. Never mind, we go again and do better next week.
