Another spirited performance from Teversal that extended their unbeaten run to four and gained 10 from 12 points with a point against a Graham Street Prims side whose title hopes have faltered in the last month.
Teversal started brightly and was awarded when Will Hunter delivered a free kick to back post, with Ty Macaskill putting it back into the mix with Josh Parfitt on hand to smash home from a few yards out to make it 1-0 after just 3 minutes.
The home side continued to be on the front foot, with Ty Macaskill firing over after breaching the Prims defence, further half chances came their way with Sam Jackson and Fynn Marshall having the best of them.
Prims started to grow into the game, starting to create opportunities for themselves after Tevie had the better of the early exchanges. But the fact that Tevie was holding their own against a top four side shown the progress they have made and just about did enough to deserve their 1-0 half time lead. During the break, Prims had to swop Keepers with Seale replacing the injured Morley.
The second half saw Prims came out strong putting in some excellent crosses in that Scott Taylor and Josh Radford managed to clear to safety. Teversal also continued to create opportunities with Ty Macaskill beating his fullback Keane only for Seale the Prims replacement Keeper to make a great block to keep his side in the game.
The importance of the save was realised on 65 minutes when a fantastic cross which McWilliams headed out only for the ball to drop to Pharrell Waite to smash home from 25 yards the equalise that left Winfield with no chance, in fact, no Keeper would have saved it, it was that good.
Josh Parffit went through on goal after a great pass from Harley Moore only for the Assistant Referee’s flag to go up when it was very clear to all he wasn’t offside. Macaskill again then beat Keane before shooting at goal only for the Seale’s again to deny the Wideman, the rebound falling to Parffit who saw his header cleared off the line. Teversal were pressing to regain the lead, with Nathan Hadley the next to be denied, Prims defence headed clear a set piece for the midfielder to unleash a 25 yarder that took a before hitting the bar, Parfitt headed home but again was adjudged to have been offside.
Prims also offered a threat, but Tevie Keeper Oli Winfield had to pull to pull a top draw save to push one effort roundaround the post as Prims also pushed forward trying to gain a valuable win, but Winfield and his backline held firm and saw it out to gain another point in the right direction for the Tevie Boy, which they will feel disappointed that it wasn’t the three they so desired.
