PENISTONE NEXT TO VISIT CARNARVON STREET
Penistone Church are the visitors to Carnarvon Street on Saturday for a Toolstation NCEL Division One fixture.
After an indifferent pre-season, Penistone opened their season in the FA Cup, but after netting in the first minute, they succumbed to a 3-1 home defeat against Cheadle Town.
They have since played two league fixtures against Nostell Miners Welfare (a 2-1 away win) and AFC Emley (a 1-0 win and revenge for last season's play-off defeat!) picking up all six points, so the Tevie Boys will have to be on form to improve on last season's encounters with Church.
These were a 5-1 defeat up at Penistone last October, followed by a battling 2-2 draw at home.
Teversal have just the one league game under their belt so far, a 3-1 defeat by Eccleshill United on the season's opening day, but they have a League Cup win against Premier Division Athersley Recreation which went all the way to penalties, but they have been stood without a first team fixture for over ten days, so will be looking to re-start their campaign with their first three points of the season.
