Teversal's five match unbeaten league run came to a crashing end in the space of four days.
While the home form has been nothing short of excellent with just one defeat in eight games, the Tevie Boys away form has been, shall we say, indifferent, with just five points gained from a possible twenty-one.
A Wednesday evening trip to Kimberley Miners Welfare, moved from the previous Saturday due to the hosts current run in the BuildBase FA Vase, was one which was looked forward to.
But things started to go wrong when the hosts took the lead with seventeen minutes on the clock. Jordan Alls unleashed a shot from the edge of the penalty area that flew over the defence and left the Teversal keeper Josh Turton grasping at thin air.
The home sides advantage was doubled ten minutes later. A free kick was sent into the six yard box, the keeper managed to kick the ball clear but it fell short of its target, straight to the head of Grant Tobin to head the ball into the empty net.
Just before the break the lead was extended to 3-0 as Alls scored his second of the night, running thru the defence and lifting the ball past the keeper, making the Tevie team talk at half time even more intense.
No further scoring took place in the second period with the Teversal defence holding tight, all we did see was a flurry of substitutions and the referee handing out a couple of yellow cards taking his tally for the night to seven in total.
