Eccleshill totally dominated the first period and deserved their 3-0 lead at the break. All the goals came from Marcus Edwards, two of which was from the penalty spot.

The first penalty coming after 21 minutes when Trease pulled back Witcombe to get ahead of the Teversal Skipper and went down under Brookes challenge. Teversal was not happy has they thought a free kick should have been awarded for the foul on Witcombe, but once play was allowed to go on it was definately a penalty. Edwards clinically finishing.

On 38 minutes, the second penalty was awarded again the visitors not happy, but Pearson didn't need to make a challenge on Rouse to shpphard the ball out, but once he made the challenge he gave the Referee the opportunity to become the star of the show and award another spot kick which was dually fired home by Edwards again.

On the stroke of half time Edwards shown his class by racing clear to clinically finish to make it 3-0 at the break.

The second half was a totall reversal of the first half (playing wise) with Teversal dominating proceedings. So when they got of to the perfect start with a goal on 46 minutes the comeback was one. Dave Cockerill firing in a corner that went straight in.

Two minute later the belief was totally installed when Robbie Collins headed on to release Jake Vernon who produced an exquisit lob over the advancing Keeper to make it 3-2 with 42 minutes to play.

The game became more open and Brookes made a couple of saves to deny Edwards, but it was the visitors who looked most like scoring. But it took until the 90+1 minute for Reece Blake to scramble home a deserved leveller.

The point was lost though 3 minutes later when Edwards topped of a fine performance by curling in an effort from the corner of the 18 yard box after the Tevie Boys failed to clear their lines, a great goal that shown who the true star of the show really was.
