Teversal travelled to Shirebrook on a cold evening hoping to go into the enforced four week lockdown with more points on the board. A slight change in formation and jiggle round of personnel as Lee Naughton got his first full start upfront, Max Gee came back into the team on the right side of midfield and Joe Fox moving to right back with the absence of Joe Geeson.

Both teams started the game at a break neck pace and Shirebrook shaded the early stages of the possession but with only a couple of dangerous crosses to show for it. First shot at goal came in 14th minute, Tevies Elliott Couldwell found George Simpson who played the ball over to Naughton who cut inside but could only shoot over the bar. Shirebrook looked comfortable on the ball and Teversal looked dangerous on the break. Shirebrook's first shot at goal came in the 20th minute following a corner that was headed clear by Jake Allen but the ball fell to Joe Harris but he could only fire over. A minute later Shirebrook had a good opportunity when Tevie lost possession when pushing forward the ball was played over the top but Luke Manlove seemed to panic and could only place his lifted effort high over the crossbar.

Teversal took the lead in the 30th minute, Max Gee picked up the ball on the right he cut infield before being fouled centrally about 25yards from goal up stepped Tom Widdowson who curled the ball over the wall into the top corner for 0-1 Teversal. The game restarted much in the same vain Shirebrook with possession and Teversal doing there best to give the ball away when in possession. Shirebrook drew level in the 40th minute good work down their left lead to a perfect cross which was met on the half volley by Connor Roberts for 1-1. Shirebrook had their tails up and in added time in the half took the lead this time a great cross in from their right which was met with a great header into the top corner from Manlove for 2-1 Shirebrook.

Within a minute of the restart Shirebrook had great opportunity to increase their lead but Louis Pryce pulled off a great double save spreading his body well to deny a certain goal. The second half settled into a pattern as the referee gave too many silly free kicks for minimal contact. Conner Roberts blasted a shot over the bar for Shirebrook in the 56th minute followed by Nathan Jessop wide of the goal in the 62nd minute. Teversal made their first substitute in the 63rd minute Josh Brentnall replacing Naughton. Gee had an opportunity following a quick break his shot hitting the target but easily saved by Hartshorn. Gee picked up a yellow card in the 68th minute for a late tackle.

Both teams traded shots but none good enough to trouble either keeper. James Summers replaced the injured Charlie Smith in the 77th minute and three minutes later Ben Agbakosi replaced Couldwell. Despite Teversal putting Shirebrook under a bit of pressure in the closing stages the only chance of note was a side footed effort over the bar from Fox after a good pull back by Widdowson after good build up play by Beastall.

Shirebrook definitely the more composed team with the ball with Teversal rushing passes. Just about a fair result in the end but could easily have finished in a draw.
