With good wins in the last two games a number of changes had to be made for the home encounter against Mansfield Hosiery Mills due to first team call ups. Cameron Barke returned as goalkeeper, Craig Newton to the holding midfield role, Jake Allen to a left side midfield role and Joe Geeson partnered Joe Fox up front. Danny Barke returned to the bench after an absence along with under 19s player Ryan Stanley.
Hosiery mills started the game well and Barke had an early save to make as he tipped over from Jones attempt on goal. The first 5 mins were quite even Tevie having a couple free kicks which came to nothing. Hosiery Mills looked to be sharper in the tackle and Barke had to be on his toes as he tipped over from Beastall in the 16th minute this led to a series of corners which Tevie defended well and the last corner saw Bretnall heading over when well placed. Hosiery Mills were now well on top and Tevie were definitely second best in possession and competing for the ball.
Beastall went close in the 29th minute but his shot from 20 yards was just over the cross bar. Teversal responded and there first real chance of the game came in the 34th minute, Allen picked out Fox who cut inside his defender his shot was blocked by the keeper but with the ball loose in the area there was no Tevie player to tap the ball home. Three minutes later a Teversal attack was cleared Jake Allen picked up the ball around the half way line and instantly saw the keeper off his line but his snap shot sailed well wide of a relived looking Ellis in the Hosiery Mills goal.
Hosiery Mills broke the deadlock in the 41st minute when Brenin picked the ball up on Hosiery Mills left just inside the penalty area he turned smartly before firing home with Barke getting a touch but not enough to prevent the goal. On balance of play Mills deserved the lead and Teversal's lackluster performance didn't bode well for the second half.
Half Time: Teversal Reserves 0 - 1 Mansfield Hosiery Mills
In the break Teversal changed Allen to center back allowing Atkins to push into midfield. A positive Teveral came out for the second half and had a great chance in the 46th minute Fox flying down the right cut in but his left foot shot went narrowly wide of the goal. Hosiery Mills responded and great play by Beastall beating three players before crossing the ball only to be headed over from five yards out. Very even start to the second half with Teversal competing much better.
Ki Smith picked up a booking in the 62nd minute and three minute later Teversal made there first change as Cameron Pinnick replaced Joe Geeson. Straight after the change Teversal almost caught Hosiery Mills napping as a quick Summers throw found Fox who turned but his shot lacked control and flew over the bar. Hosiery Mills then clipped the Teversal post from a break down the right. Danny Barke made a welcome return to the pitch replacing Peter Roberts in the 70th minute.
Hosiery Mills should have doubled there lead in the 75th minute as Jones broke through the Tevie back line, Cam Barke rushed off his line only to bring Jones down for the penalty. Barke however redeemed himself as he pulled off a great save from the resultant kick. Teversal virtually went straight down the other end earned a corner the ball was played in Greg Smith rose only to have the ball taken off his head by a hand for a Tevie penalty, up stepped Atkins to make the score 1-1.
The game was end to end without either team really creating any clear cut chances. Teversal made there final change in the 86th minute Robbie Bestwick replacing Ki Smith. Despite lots of good intent the game ended in a draw which on balance for Teversal was a good result.
